Got it together and went for a ride. Set for 4500 and works very well.
The fit was a little snug, seems as though the switches to change the vboost
might be a little high? I also ended up shaving down the 2 prongs that press down on the board to make sure they did not hit anything. The original controller was enclosed with epoxy, the new one is not.....should anything
be done to keep dry?

I don't think it needs anything on it. At least not that I have heard of needing done anyway.
 
you won't be disappointed! just came back from a ride today and when it kicks in at 4500 it is a blast!
 
I have mine set at 4500 as well...simple install and has worked flawless. I used electrical tape to close it up...no issues thus far...
