Might have to rejoin the VMOA

[Calimus]

Thanks to the local director Chip Fisher. I got a call out of the blue this past week from Chip. He was inviting me to a cookout for Maxers from the VMOA. I explained that I had let my membership expire due to a few different reasons, one of them bein that I'm looking to move on to an FJR.

He said it was no problem, understood, but would still like to extend the invite. We talked for a bit and I have to say, he's a great guy. If the weather hold up, I will be attending the cookout. My wife and I are both wondering if this is a sign to hang onto the Max and shelf the idea of the FJR for a while.

So I think I'll base my thoughts on how this cookout goes. If everything goes well, I think I'll hang onto the Max, reup my membership and start modding the Max a bit.

So, thumbs up to Chip for reaching out, he might have very well changed my mind on the VMOA as well as parting with my Max.

New to this list. I saw someone had asked how many Vmaxes at Dinner. If that was Saturday night Thunder in the Valley VMOA Dinner, I counted 53 Vmaxes, but while inside for dinner, a few others arrived late. I did take photos of the bikes and hope to post some for others to see. Be safe, Rich

There are so many things they could do with the money. The mag is a waste of it IMHO...

I'm thinking of not renewing. University motors you don't need to be a member to receive discount. The Vboost is all scene reports and rantings now with no new tech info or mods mentioned. You can check website for events.
It might be worth it for the discounts if you have a stock bike otherwise I would not bother
