I just upgraded from a 1997,3rd max I have had, to a 2019 max. How do you remove the stock mirrors so I can install my bar end ones?

Slide the rubber cover up, the jam nut is hidden under it. Looks just like the gen 1 mirror jam nut once you get the cover slid up.

Remember one side is reverse threaded

Handlebar mirrors, don't like them
What I did, I installed extenders and some Mirrors I got from Amazon (they are cheaper to replace)....

If you remove the mirrors, get some screws (left and righthanded) to close the hole, looks much better.
