Misfire when hot

I figure you guys can narrow this down. The bike starts great when cold and runs fine. It seems the longer it runs and the hotter it gets, the worse it runs. It has been starting to misfire when hot more and more, and before I dig in, I would like some hints from the experts. I am suspecting a coil. The battery is strong and the charging voltage is fine. It just starts runnning like crap after is gets good and hot. Any ideas out there?

Well you had said that the charging is fine.....what is the charging at 2500 rpm? Sometimes there is a voltage drop, and so if it drops down too far....it will cause the ECU to misfire.

Since your problem is when the bike is hot, take a volt meter with you and when it starts acting up take a reading at idle and then at 2500 RPMs. You could have a stator problem or rectifier going out......
