Made a real video today with my new exhaust. All sorts of different conditions. I like the sound, not as badass as the original pipes, but much easier on the ears and still very loud when you want it to be. Its crazy how much the tone has been lowered. It doesnt sound like 9500 rpm anymore. Compare the wot runs away from the camera vs towards, sounds like a 2000 rpm difference... strange. Nice, clean, tuned sound. The partial throttles and cruising have a great sound, I also really like that idle is still rumbly, loud and mean sounding, as well as WOT, but It lost some of that V8 nastiness that we all love. Oh well, guess pipes are all about compromise. It is much nicer while cruising now as I can actually hear myself think....so in the big picture, mission accomplished, still sounds mean as hell, wont be nearly as fatiguing on the long rides, and nobody else has this setup!

New:
UFO 4-2 headers, custom mid pipes, 2 Bros carbon mufflers

Old:

I enjoy riding without one. Its Florida, there is no helmet law here. Safest way to ride? No, but truly liberating and just feels awesome. To each his own though....

Yeah, its your life I guess. Ride safe.

BTW, nice bike but JC is persona non grata on this forum so his products happens to be "not that famous".

I wanna know what the story is on the old exhaust system. Come on Bro, I hate the stock exhaust!

very freakin nice man........buy the parts from whoever you want...my new favorite video..... I was actually hopin youd ride it a little harder... I seen the front tire come up once.... I just sent my letter to santa asking him for one.... whoevers got a supercharger, its sold. Ive been wanting one for too long

Sounds nice. How close is that exposed belt to your knee while in a normal riding position?

I know some people have something against JC, but I don't. The guy makes high quality parts for the max and I have had nothing but perfection from the guy. I'm glad he's around and making unique parts for us to play with.

I've been having too much fun playing with my new pipes to think of what to do with the old ones! I'm selling them. I just need to clean em up, take some pictures and then make a posting. prob $700 + shipping?

Hah, I think that doing 90-100 or whatever the top of 3rd is is pushing it plenty on my little side street, plus I wanted to make an exhaust sound file, not a "look at this crazy guy" video..:biglaugh: 1st gear always wheelies a bit, well more than a bit if you're not doing everything you can to keep it down....if you crack it above 4k rpm, you could probably do a backflip! I usually end up short shifting 1st because the front end gets too high. With the suspension setup I have and lowered stance, I am very surprised at how well planted the front is given the amount of power it is putting down. I love the supercharger on these bikes. Its a blast! Instant torque at any rpm, mean sounding idle, awesome SC whine, etc. It really transforms the bike IMO. I highly recommend getting one if you can.

Hah, its about 1/4" It has a shield that sticks off the top that keeps your knee just off the pulley. My jeans usually get black marks on em from the belt. My boots have some nice wear from rubbing the bottom pulley while shifting hard. Buzzed my big toe against it a couple times while wearing flops. After getting used to it and used to thinking about it, it's no problem. The only time I buzz my toe is if I'm getting on it, usually a 1-2 shift where the bike is just a hand full and i'm looking for a solid shift. It hurts a little, but just exfoliates the skin a bit.....:biglaugh:

turned it off as soon as I saw you tear up a neihbourhood street into 3rd gear, with no helmet, pants, or proper shoes on.

I like the sound of the new setup better, the original pipe sounds too much like straight pipes, open and rattly to me.

I'm new to this forum and have loved that it's not a bunch of kids flaming each other over every little thing, like some of the forums I've been on. As soon as I saw the shorts and no helmet, all I could think of was that on my ATV forum they would flame the guy until the thread got locked, and no one would even remember what the thread was originally about.

BTW - The bike looks awesome, the complete package!

Which Toy Run are you attending? If you show-up w/flip-flops, shorts, a 'wife-beater,' & a Santa's hat at Mardi Gras Casino

my elves have instructions to keep you out of the procession.

Wolfmann, welcome to the forum! The main difference you will find on this site is that we are not a bunch of kids and we try to keep thing positive and productive. It is hard to find forums like this and I truly appreciate all the member here. Thanks for the kudos on the bike.

Which Toy Run are you attending?

The Brevard County ABATE Toy run. Usually between 5,000-10,000 bikes. Should be fun! :punk:

Starts in Merritt Island down to Melbourne. Dec 2nd. kickstands up at 12.

Santa, I've been naughty this year.......with your elves!! :xmas:

Ft. Lauderdale FL-area:
Over 30,000 motorcycles participate in this event each year and it is with the help of all police agencies, 22 Departments and 230 Officers, to close down three interstate highways and ensure a safe motorcade. There are over 200 police motor officers, as well as cars and PSA Personnel from all over South Florida. Sheriff Al Lamberti coordinates all the Departments with his Broward County FL Officers and motormen to ensure the safety of this huge event, being even bigger than the annual Ft. Lauderdale Christmas Boat Parade on the Intracoastal Waterway. The parade now begins at the Mardi Gras Casino, Hallandale Beach, Florida. The motorcycles travel approximately 20 miles in length to Broward County Markham Park. It takes approximately three hours to get all the cycles to the end of the ride.

Since the inception of the Annual SFPC Toys in the Sun Run, in 1987, over $20 million in toys have been collected and handled by the Fraternal Order of Police and then distributed in four counties. The money raised from this event has exceeded the $11.5 million mark and we only ask the bikers for a $10 donation and a new unwrapped toy. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation is one of our main beneficiaries.

LOL boostmax.... maybe I should add crazy ride to my search when I need a good vmax video to satisfy my need for... well you know the whole list of, we'll call it fully satisfied.... the videos often leave me UNsatified & I end up looking for more.... I found one about 2-3 years ago w a guy ACTUALLY getting on it. you would say ridin crazy, I would say actually ridin :biglaugh: its probly a 15 sec video but hes gettin it. I have hrs lookin for that video but Ive never found it again:ummm: I was glad I made the one w my old man on mine... I just wished it was better quality, it would be superb if I would have zoomed in and was closer or whatever but it was a one time shot deal. I bet I will never get him back on it like that. well wait.. maybe if I ever find a blower he will. to be continued......

we cant keep this going forever. I am chalenging ALL vmax riders to go out and make a video of you (as boostmax would say) gettin crazy.. 1/4 & 1/8 mile runs are cool but this thing is still the stoplight king right?????:punk: get some . I wanna see some videos to hold me over this long boring cold winter that I know we have in store for us in IOWA!

Nice! You should upload your videos to the video section here! These would be great in this section.
