Hello,
It seems like I have a bad case of oxidization on my sissy bar and on my scoops. Not sure how it happened (I just got the bike) so I want to get rid of it. Only defect I can see other than a few chips on the reservoirs.

Is there a fairly easy way to get rid of the corrosion? I was thinking of powder coating black but would have to do a few more things and essentially black out my max which I am open to but would not mind giving something else a go. It seems to be under the lacquer - anyone else ever have this?

By the way, props to this site, you guys have been a big help to me

my wheels and the cylinder heads had that. i p/c the rims. hid the cylinder heads under frame braces and knee guards...

What if you still want the polished aluminium look? Could you strip, polish, and get a clear coat put on?
