Well they just released the memo and I took a quick browse of it and like I originally posted, it seems to be focusing on Carter Page and the Steele Dossier and COMPLETELY leaving out any information regarding the information I stated in my original post. It makes it seem like the ONLY reason they renewed surveillance on Carter Page was the Steele dossier which is absolutely misleading. And Nunes knows damn well it is.

Edit after reading the memo more thorougly: Yep. Just like the rumors I mention in my original post, this is what the memo is trying to do. It's trying to allege the ONLY reason for this surveillance on Carter Page was due to the Steele dossier. The facts I stated about Carter Page above are easily verifiable. Rosenstein has done NOTHING wrong in regards to renewing this FISA warrant on Carter Page.

But the Trump echo chambers are already starting to say fire Rosenstein. The twitter/Facebook bots will start pushing it too. I will bet you a steak dinner that's what Sean Hannity will be saying tonight as well. And they'll somehow conveniently forget to mention any of the information I listed above. They will NEVER mention Carter Page actually gave documents to KNOWN SVR agents who have been charged by our US government BEFORE the Steele dossier ever existed. It will be ALL about the Steel dossier. As if that's the only evidence the FBI is using and it's not. That is DELIBERATELY misleading. Nunes, Trump, and all the GOP who voted Yes to release this memo know it is misleading.

If Trump fires Rosenstein over this, shit is going to nuclear.

You have this nailed, good job.

Today the FBI, CIA, DNI, NSA, and NGA all testified in front of the Senate Intel Committee. They were asked directly if they still stand by their assessment last year regarding Russia's interference in our election and they were also asked if they've seen any reduction in Russia's cyberwarfare and do they agree with CIA Pompeo's assessment that Russia will definitely try to interfere with 2018 midterms. (It starts at the 1 hour 26 min mark of the video).

I'll sum it up -- they ALL say Russia did it and will continue to do it. Yet we have Trump who wont acknowledge any of this. Wont impose sanctions on Russia for doing it. Hell, most people forget when he came back from his first face to face with Putin as president he wanted to form a joint cyber task force WITH Russia.

Why is he ignoring this issue? Why wont he impose the law congress passed and he signed? I mean the answer seems clear to me.

DHS has testified that yes there was hacking but there was no manipulation of data unlike the FUSA manipulations of foreign elections. Besides, all this started with the phony baloney Trump "dossier" funded by the DNC and Klinton camp. The fact Ted Kennedy worked with the Rooskys to attempt to defeat Reagan is a better example of collusion.
The real crime here is FiSA was used to spy on an American citizen for reasons underhanded. Hang 'em all.
Quoting a wise old Indian saying: "Follow the Wampum" which I can use without fear or accusations of "cultural appropriation" as my honored ancestors were Shawnee, Wolf Clan, Virginia.

DHS testified register data was breached. They've been very clear to NOT mention anything in regards to what all was actually done.

Regarding the Steel dossier, you're wrong. The claim that the FBI's investigation on Trump and Russia started because of the Steele dossier has been proven wrong over and over. Even the Nunes memo states the FBI's investigation started because of George Papadaplous.

If you want to debate the loss of rights regarding our surveillance state, that's a separate topic and you won't find me defending it. We're most likely on the same side there . The Patriot Act is anything but Patriotic. But as I stated in the original post, the GOP just recently renewed the 702 provision recently with no changes or protests.

Here's the thing. In some ways Trump was right when he accused Obama of tapping his phones. Well he was wrong that it was Obama for political reasons, but he was right that Trump Tower has been under FBI surveillance for a while. Why? Because it's quite a popular place to set up shop for scammers. Since Trump bought it in '95, about 30 different people have had criminal charges filed against them from running a dozen scams out of offices in that tower.

Look up who Felix Sater is and his dealings with Trump:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/richar...gs-with-a-mob-connected-hustler/#47189b422282

Trump has been on the fed's radar for quite some time. Because his casinos were nortorious for not following anti-money laundering rules from pretty much the moment they opened. Which they were eventually fined for:

https://www.fincen.gov/news/news-re...casino-resort-10-million-significant-and-long

Let's not forgt Trump University which was found in court to be guilty of fraud and Trump has to pay $25 million.

https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/sta...settlement-agreement-reached-trump-university

Now I imagine the reply to this will be "But if he's been under surveillance for so long and they haven't charged him with anything, he must be innocent."

Well no. As pointed out above, he's been paying millions in fines. We all know the rich rarely go to jail in white collar crimes. So to say he's not guilty of anything is a real stretch.

But here's the thing. FBI field offices are somewhat independent. And after 9/11 the NY FBI field office(and most of America at the time) held Rudy Giuliani in high regard. We all know Rudy and Trump are friends. Word on the street is Rudy was that firewall between the FBI and Trump.

Why do I mention this? Because I would suspect at some point it will come out that Trump Tower was under surveillance and as I listed above, there's a lot of reasons he would be. However, just like they're doing with Carter Page, they'll spin it as if Trump is just some innocent player in all of this when he's not. Neither was Carter Page. That somehow the surveillance was all politically motivated rather than actual CRIMINAL activity going on in that building.

Kronx; Regarding the Steel dossier said:
"McCabe testified before the committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the [FISA court] without the Steele dossier information"

Is McCabe a liar? The warrant had to be continually updated. According to McCabe, At some point, the warrant was issued, updated, based on the Dossier. Maybe not started, but the Clinton bought, opposition research dossier bull shit but kept it alive. All 10 million dollars worth.

From Full Measure:

If you can’t keep up with the many probes going on surrounding the 2016 campaign, alleged Russia collusion, and alleged misbehavior by intel agencies, you’re not alone. Sharyl Attkisson sat down with Republican Congressman Jim Jordan who serves on two of the half-dozen bodies conducting investigations — and asked him to break it down.
Sharyl: How can this story be told in a simple way for Americans who have been hearing fringe discussion about it and haven't followed it closely?

Rep. Jim Jordan: Yeah I like to tell it through Peter Strzok, deputy head of, former deputy head of counterintelligence at the FBI.
Peter Strzok and another FBI official, Lisa Page, were allegedly having an illicit affair during the 2016 campaign when they exchanged bitter, anti-Trump text messages, even as Strzok led investigations that stood to impact the election.
Rep. Jim Jordan: Peter Strzok said in one of those text messages, “We can't run the risk that the American people might make Donald Trump the next president. We need an insurance policy.” And that insurance policy plan, we've learned from some of those other text messages, I think involved leaking information to the press to further their narrative against the Trump candidacy.
Notably, Strzok led the FBI probe into Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified email, interviewed Clinton without recording her, and softened a key phrase in the FBI decision to recommend no criminal charges.
Strzok also led the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the election. Strzok interviewed Trump official Michael Flynn, who plead guilty to lying to the FBI. And Strzok served on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team, investigating alleged Trump-Russia collusion.
Jordan says more key questions surround the anti-Trump file or dossier, leaked to the press before the election.
Sharyl: We've learned it wasn't an intelligence file at all, but opposition research compiled by a political firm. Did the FBI improperly use that to justify spying on Trump for political reasons?
Rep. Jim Jordan: I believe the FBI dressed it all up, made it look like legitimate intelligence took it to the FISA court to get warrants to spy on Americans associated with the Trump campaign, and through that spying, I think they got other names that were unmasked.
Sharyl: How much has our knowledge been advanced regarding Russia, the surveillance issue, Hillary Clinton email investigation, Trump investigation?
Rep. Jim Jordan: We know the DNC paid for the dossier.
Sharyl: The Democratic National Committee.
Rep. Jim Jordan: Democrat National Committee and the Clinton campaign, which we now know of course were one and the same. They paid for it. We know that there was at least what appears to be some group of people at the FBI based on the text messages that was this core group that looks like they set out to have a plan to hurt the Trump campaign helped the Clinton campaign.
Sharyl: None of this necessarily excludes the Trump administration or related officials from misconduct.
Rep. Jim Jordan: No.
Sharyl: So what are you finding on that score today?
Rep. Jim Jordan: Nothing, right? I mean to date there's been zero evidence that that the Trump campaign coordinated any kind of activity with Russia to impact the election.
Maybe not, but several former Trump campaign officials have been charged with other crimes.
Paul Manafort and Rick Gates are accused of money laundering and conspiracy stemming from their lobbying work for Russian interests dating back years. They've pleaded not guilty. George Papadopoulos and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI.
Sharyl: Could Mueller be finding thing that nobody's heard of that hasn't leaked out?
Rep. Jim Jordan: We don't know, we have to wait for his report. We're going to get a report, I think even before his, from the inspector general which will examine how the FBI handled the Clinton investigation in 2015 and 2016.
Sharyl: It turns out FBI official Peter Strzok figures into that, too. On January 19th, the FBI gave Congress a new batch of text messages between Strzok and his girlfriend that indicate some in the FBI made investigative decisions for political reasons.
“It's going to be a Clinton Trump race,” texted Page. “Unbelievable.” “What?!?!??”, replied Strzok. “Now the pressure really starts to finish, midyear exam [the FBI case name for Clinton email investigation]. Page replied, “It sure does.”
The texts also reveal the FBI first included, but later omitted, news that as Secretary of State, Clinton improperly used personal email to contact President Obama while abroad in the territory of sophisticated adversaries.
Sharyl: In the big picture why do these questions matter? If someone were to say to you, I don't know who all these people are that you're talking about?
Rep. Jim Jordan: Because you cannot have the Federal Bureau of Investigation trying to help one campaign at the expense of the other. That cannot happen in the greatest country in history, where you're having the premier law enforcement agency in the world saying we're going to have an insurance policy to make sure one candidate does not become the President of the United States. That is for we the people to decide. The American voters to decide. Not some super agent James Bond guy at the at the FBI named Peter Strzok and his cabal of people. That is never supposed to be how it works in the United States of America.
A few footnotes. To date, Strzok and Page have not been accused of wrongdoing. They were removed from the Russia investigation last summer—Strzok was reassigned to Human Resources. They and the FBI didn’t respond to our request for comment.

That testimony of McCabe was in a private meeting, we can't read the transcripts and since we can't see the Dems response to this memo we don't know the context of that statement.

As we know the Steele dossier info was included with FISA applications along with a lot of other information. But you're claiming the renewals were based on the Steele dossier alone and that statement from the memo doesn't say that. As I understand it FISA warrant renewals require showing some new information has found in order to continue the surveillance. And a judge ultimately has the say in it's renewal, not McCabe.

And in regards to the Steele dossier and Carter Page it said Page met with Russians from Rosneft. Something Page initially denied. But then Page testified in front of the HPSCI and admitted he in fact DID meet with them. So regarding Carter Page, the dossier was RIGHT.

https://intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/carter_page_hpsci_hearing_transcript_nov_2_2017.pdf

The dossier claimed that Rosneft wanted to lift sanctions on Russia for their arming of seperatists in Ukraine. And we know that the Trump campaign pushed for a change during the RNC in which the GOP would no longer pledge weapons for Ukraine. So again, the dossier when it comes to Carter Page, hasn't been wrong.

This is Jim "FBI Secret Society" Jordan. A claim he made based on text messages that he knee-jerk reacted to and since has walked back his claim and admitted the text message was most likely a joke. So yea... pardon me if I don't trust his perspective. Because quite a few statements he made that you've quoted are flat out wrong. For instance, Rick Gates has not pleaded not guilty as Jordan claims. In fact, it was just reported he's made a plea deal with the special counsel.

http://www.businessinsider.com/rick-gates-finalizing-plea-deal-mueller-russia-manafort-2018-2

And people keep painting Steele like he doesn't have bonifides in the intelligence community. He's a respected and accomplished former MI6 agent whose expertise was with Russia. But as discussed in another thread, we no longer hold any value to expertise. We'll take the word of a Devin Nunes, whose expertise is in agriculture and who didn't even take the time to read the FISA application and call him a hero but totally shit on a career MI6 agent whose respected in his field that specifically pertains to the investigation.

But if this is all a Democratic conspiracy PLEASE help me understand these questions - -help me out here and tell me how you rationalize these:

Why won't Trump enforce the law that imposes sanctions on Russia for their interference with our elections?
As I posted the video up above where heads of ALL the intel agencies said Russia is meddling and will continue, why won't Trump agree with the people HIS ADMINISTRATION appointed?
If the FBI was pro-Clinton/anti-Trump why did Comey re-open the Clinton email investigation weeks before the election?
Why has everyone in the Trump administration questioned regarding their contacts with Russia at some point lied about it?
If the Trump campaign had nothing to do with Russia, why did Donald Trump Jr admitted he met with Russians for dirt on Hillary?

Funny stuff. So Trump tweets this today in response to the indictments:

"Russia started their anti-US campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for President. The results of the election were not impacted. The Trump campaign did nothing wrong - no collusion!"

Well he is right, the indictments today don't contain any proof of collusion. But I'm pretty sure there are more indictments coming.

Funny enough though, there is this young lady named Alferova Yulya, who is Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. On Jan 22, 2014, she posted a picture of her and Donald Trump and said "I'm sure @realDonaldTrump will be great president! We'll support you from Russia! America needs ambitious leader!"

So while it is true Trump may not have officially announced running for president, I think it's fair to say, Trump was on their radar. The picture I screengrabbed from her twitter feed. You can find it here in case you might think the date on it was photoshopped:

Damn, he went there. Didn't think he'd do it, but he went there.
"Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!"

Don't even try to defend this shit. Please don't.

Trumpfs total disregard for people just reached a new low. How in hell did this piece of shit get elected? And why hasn't he been booted out on his fat, useless ass yet?

Fucking incredible.. And people still support this cretin?

So the HPSCI dropped their investigation. Which is fine since they've lost all credibility due to political circus they created with it. Honestly, they might as well just get rid of the HPSCI altogether at this point.

In other news the Theresa May of the UK says Russia was behind the poisoning over there. Yesterday Rex Tillerson, doing what a SoS is supposed to do, show support of our allies and spoke tough words at Russia for those actions. Yesterday he said the poisoning clearly came from Russia and will trigger a response. He was right - it did trigger a response -- Trump fired Tillerson today. And being the classy guy he is, Trump didn't even tell Tillerson. According to the State Department and Tillerson's top aide, Tillerson found out he was fired from Trumps tweet.

This. Is. Not. Normal.

Also in other news, we now know porn star Stormy Daniels was paid 130k by team Trump to keep quiet. And while I don't particularly care he shagged a porn star, paying her a 130k about it right before the election actually proves the whole concern the intel community had about Trump being able to be blackmailed.

This. Is. Not. Normal.

Update: White House just fired the State Dept. Official and top Tillerson aide who said Tillerson found out about his firing from Trumps tweet.

Yeah, the Orange Asshole is doing a great job of Making America Great Again...
Anyone out there still glad they voted for this garbage? Sad...

Olga Skabeeva(see attached image) hosts one of the most watched political talk shows on Russian TV....

Trump still. hasn't. enforced. the. law. that. punishes. Russia. The truth is Trump supporters see Trumps loyalty to Putin plainly at this point. They just don't care. They'd rather have the USA run by Putin than by a Democrat. That's where we are now in our political discourse. And when we're at that point in our discourse, there's no turning back and really no point in debate.

And because one party chooses Putin over the USA, that party is going to lose it's power and give the other party they despise so much the high ground for quite some time. By not holding Trump accountable now, it's going to severely hurt the GOP in the long run. It's not coincidence that every candidate Trump puts his support behind has lost their race.

It's a lot like counter-steering. As a Trump supporter it may seem like holding Trump accountable now is bad for your party, but it's not. Not holding him accountable is only helping the Democrats in the long run. Because when you have multiple people from the Trump team that are indicted/plead guilty for "conspiracy against the United States" -- and there's going to be a lot more to come as well -- that's going to decimate the party when that Cat 5 shit storm hits. And despite what Sean Hannity says, that Cat 5 shit storm is real and it's coming.

I'm still glad I voted for him.
And proud too.
Not trying to speak of anybody on this board, but I noticed that he's kind of like a hemorrhoid. He really does a great job of irritating all the assholes.
Kronx, were you this critical of Obama? I don't recall seeing you constantly crying about him.
I'm really just fed up with all this bandwagon hate. Sure seems like shit is going pretty good here in America.
Folks working, lower theft from the paycheck, but crocodile tears from so many.
Step away from the TV and Facebook. Talk to working folks. Everything is ok.
