Well, got a call from a Vmaxer in Auckland to hookup so we decided to run down to the Pukekohe classic event which attracted over 300 entries so I'm told with many overseas bikes. One interesting one is a Yamaha 125 v4 2 stroke,9 speed gearbox 17,000rpm, one of 2 kicking around in the world I believe. The Dutch owner brought it over and Hugh Anderson from NZ ( a former world champion did a demo on it).

The guy I hooked up with brought along another Vmax owner with him and we hooked up with yet another Vmax owner from Tauranga at a service station along the way. So that was 4 of us taking the trip.

The event was excellent with plenty of old bikes plus a bunch of interesting bikes just in the carpark that came to the event.
I have these pictures plus plenty more if anyone wants to see them..

Good to see that ya caught up with some vmaxxers , has to be some sort of vmax record for NZ . 4 together like that . Looks like by the pics it was a good day out . :clapping:

Gawd, STEVE, you V-Max guys are really gifted, - left handed, posess some awesome detective skills! - what else can you do?

Seriously, those were great pictures - they take me right back to the days when bikes were bikes and didn't have the "non functional parts" which are needed to titivate the "modern " mind in order to get sales!
- And they smelled (or is it smelt?)good too!

Having said that, I will make an exception for the V-Max, - great machine!
