My bike suddenly began running very poorly, lots of popping out the mufflers and uneven acceleration. I figured I'd try the shotgun cleaning
for a cure. When I shot the air into PAJ1 on the right bank of carbs, the
majority of air came out the a/f screw holes. When I shot the air into PAJ1
on the left bank of carbs, the majority of air came out the PAJ2 holes.
Can anyone tell me why the difference? Oh, and the bike still runs like
crap.:bang head:

Sounds like you have more crap in there than the shotgun can deal with..

When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter? Might be worth getting a new one in and cracking the old one open to see if there was dirt in there, also old filters do fall apart.

If you find dirt in the filter, most likely you will need to take your carbs out to clean them properly, but you can always try repeating the shotgun a few times, and maybe doing the peashooter too, just in case you get lucky.

On my bike both only provided temporary relief, so I cleaned the carbs out completely and that fixed it. All instructions are in those threads:

Thanks naughty G, my filter is only about a month old so that's not it, but I think
it is time for the carbs to come completely apart. Thanks for all the links.
