In 1987 I was on a 1986 suzuki gsxr 1100 on Interstate 5 leaving L A at 3 am heading for las Vegas with earphones playing Led Zeppelins Achilles Last Stand. No one on the freeway both ways, 5 lanes for me 5 empty lanes on the other side.
Halfway through the song without realizing i am twisting the throttle.
in my same lane side by side with me is a CHP officer on a kawasaki 1000 with no lights on anywhere. He sees me look over at him and then turns on all his lights.
I look down at my speedo and i am at 88 mph in a 55. He shakes his and passes me and gets off at the next exit.
