I am looking for a speedometer tach combo for my 2004 max I did see one somewhere but cant remember it was a rectangular shape Help

I got a Koso and while I like it, it is something you cannot go to have it installed at a dealership. I would trust and automotive electric shop before a bike shop unless it is a custom shop that has done more than plug and play. Mine was not so easy but if you have electrical experience such as soldering, shrink tubing and can read and follow insteuctions, you might be able to handle the install yourself.

Do a search on the forum here for Veypor or something like that. Firefly had posted a good bit of info on those. They are very reasonably priced.

I got a stack st-700 (SR version, 0-107500) thru Sean Morley. It does Tach, Speed, odometer, trip meter, voltage, 1/4 mile, 0-60, 60-0, shift light (programmable in many different options) plus you can hook up two other inputs like oil pressure, water temp, AF reading, boost, etc.....

Hookup was easier than expected.

My only issue with the unit is mounting it. I couldn't find a gauge cup that fit and looked decent. I made my own and it seems to be working OK. To make the oil pressure and coolant temp sensors work the bike I had to make a couple adaptors.

The Vapor is a good unit too but the tach on it doesn't work worth a shit, I ended up getting an Autometer shift light that has a digital rpm readout and I like it alot.

What was the issue with the vapor?
Is it because you are using COPs?

It must be because firefly was running his with stock coils fine. I tried going from tach lead, #1 harness, and #1 coil plug and the coil plug worked best but still not worth a shit.

Remember that issue with the koso and cop. The solution was to wrap the wire around the cop lead. Any other ways was making it shit.
