What's the LEAST amount of stuff I have to remove to get it out. It looks pretty tight behind all the cooling hoses. LEAST being key, as I'm lazy and tired of working on the bike!!
 
Just did this a few weeks ago..so from memory

Drain rad.
remove horn
remove hoses off drain assy
remove drain assy
remove hose off thermo top
think thats it. remove 2 bracket screws and wiggle it out..have to wiggle and twist/turn to get it out past the top of thermo

may have to use a piece of wood/dowel to gently hammer loose starter from engine

He can also replace oring on starter btw unless, it will be new one starter motor :)
