I pulled my pointer off my old tach. I still have it around here if you want it.

How does the pointer come off? I tried to remove mine but feels very secure.

I just pinched it, then pulled if off. Its a metal compression fitting.
I took a look and no glue.

you may need to take a regular screwdriver and pry on the sides a little.
