The two main reasons for stripped carburetor body bolts is 1) over tightening and/or 2) allen bolts too short.
BRC has Allen Bolt Kits consisting of (89) bolts & (23) lock washers - broken down as follows:
(16) #18-8 S/S 6mm Socket Cap side & bottom bracket bolts
(16) #18-8 S/S 5mm Socket Cap diaphragm cover bolts
(16) #18-8 S/S 5mm Button Head float chamber cover bolts
(41) #18-8 S/S M4 & M5 socket cap Allen bolts for jet blocks, cut-off diaphragm covers, starting enricheners & top brackets
(23) #18-8 S/S 4mm lock washers - (used in all original factory locations)
Bolts to replace every Phillips head screw on carbs & brackets.
Bolt lengths are spec'd to utilize all threads but not protrude thru holes
Cost for the (89) allen bolt & (23) lock washer set is $38 + $8 shipping to US zip codes. *
