I just purchased a 1985 V-max and have no spark on #3 cylinder. I tested the current coming out of the TCI and I have current on #1 the Orange lead and #2 the White lead and #4 the Gray lead but nothing on the Yellow #3 lead. Could it be a faulty TCI box? Or something else? Does any body have an easy fix? or will the TCI need replaced and if so, any recommendations?:confused2::hmmm: Thanks, Bob

Check connectors first. Corrosion might have isolated it. Remove TCI and check corresponding connectors.

+1 and then swap that #3 coil with a good one and see if the issue follows that #3 coil to another known good cylinder.

IF its the TCI (which is quite possible) then consider the Ignitech upgrade unit. I have one left on hand I think and Gary (Dingy) may have a few available.
