86 clutch rebuild

is there a basic clutch rebuild kit from yamaha or elsewhere or can someone list all the parts i'll need for the job.The clutch i have isn't trashed but it does start to slip after a few hard takeoffs so i'd like to replace it this winter and have a fresh clutch to start off the season with.

Well since I cant find my crystal ball nor are my eyes good enough to see your VMAX or ride it here is what ya need to do.. well properly.

Remove your clutch cover. Inspect the Spring, Steel Plates for blueing and warpage. Inspect your fibers with a mic and see if they are out of spec. Its really hard to say ohh yeah you need 3 of this 4 of this with a pint of muffler fluid without seeing the bike. Break it down and find the worn / defective components..

Or if you just want to do a complete rebuild..

Might want to rebuild your clutch slave cylinder too. The one on the 85 I got last summer was nasty with old fluid. You'll have to take off the middle gear cover so you'll probably want a new gasket for that too.
