I bought a Venture diff on ebay. Everything looks fine, but I want to change the seals on it and I can figure most of it out using the several manuals (Haynes kinda sucks) I have for the VMax.........except for one particular seal.
The big seal and o-ring on the wheel side of the diff I understand. The driveshaft seal by the diff I get.
But how do I get at the small seal just inboard of the outside of the diff? (I think that's commonly called the left side) It's sort of buried down in there behind a bearing.
Haven't done this before.

thanks for the help--if you can.

P.S. Sean, I am sending you an order tomorrow.

The diff has to be taken farther apart. Drive out the spacer that's in there and then you can get to the seal. You'll destroy it getting it out. I've personally never seen one leak there but replace them when we do a chrome job since I have to have it all the way apart to do that.
