drag from belly pan?

just curious i asked the question in a previous post but never got a answer will a belly pan that is fairly closed off in the front cause any significant drag on the bike maybe causing decreased gas mileage or affect the handling in any way?

As the bike has no fairings and you are basically pushing a brick through the air a belly pan would have a negligible effect at worst. To be honest the positioning of it behind the front wheel is probably the best place, aerodynamically speaking to have something it's shape.
