Beware the guy down at the corner with the green feather in his felt fedora hat. He usually charges way too much interest and can sometimes get testy when you're late on a payment.
I usually try using one of those very low interest introductory offers from a credit card company. You may pay a small fee up front, but lock in a 3.99% or so interest rate for the life of the loan. (if you have good credit) Slightly higher rates for those with less than perfect credit history.
