Before you do this, look at the plug and make sure of the voltage. On mine, the plug is actually a step down transformer, the GPS itself is NOT 12 volt.
Hmm, good idea, GPS is at home but everything i've seen online point to mine being a 12 v unit. I'll check my gps when I get home.

Looked at mine , the charger says -

Input:12v-24v dc
Output:5v-1.5a .

So im taking that as what it says , Chris has both his bike directly wired from battery to unit but that depends on how he wired it but it sounded like he didnt come across any probs .

Took Max for spin with gps onboard , 50kmph=50kmph, 100kmph=100kmph , 180kmph=180kmph on gps vs speedo . Im impressed for a 17yr old bike . :clapping::punk:
