Recheck the float levels. Shouldn't need that much main I would not think.

Yeah, I'm surprised by that as well.

I wish there was a bigger base of guys that had the big motors without flatslides to draw some baseline carb setups from. I tried getting some info from PCW but Jon didn't want to do anything other than have me ship him my carbs.

The float levels are dead on at 1.120 using dial calipers and the measuring method portrayed in the sticky. I know float level effects everywhere but I thought its greatest effect was cruising and midrange???

I do need to check em wet but unless a floats not floating or a needle is bad (I put new ones in) I don't see how they aren't right unless 1.120 isn't a good number. I ran em at 1.105 with the old setup.
