Yeah he knows and is talking about getting some.

All we need is the left mirror to be legal here in the I.A.

:thumbs up:

I love my little black bar end.

Hahaha you guys kill me.

Getting LED license plate screws, which are on order.

Bar end mirrors, trying to figure out if they'll work with my ISO Grips. Kuryakyn says no, I don't see why not if they go INSIDE the handlebar.

The new bracket is done, I've been out all night doing some bids on possible upcoming jobs, so I didn't get over to Dad's to pick up the new bracket. The new bracket IS NOT axle mount, but mounted where the bottom shock mount is. I'm taking off the L/R shock, putting the bracket on, and re-installing the shock to suck it in as close as possible to the bike.

Thanks for all the positive comments fellas.

Hehe, I still chuckle at some of the comments. ;)

The bar end mirrors will work with Kuryakyns only if your willing to remove the endcaps from your grips.

On the Kuryakyns removing the end caps is gonna ugly them up some since that flat surface where the end caps bolts on is not chromed.

You could also mount your plate lower and off the rear end instead of the shock mount.

I had mine originally mounted like your until I got tired of hitting my leg on it.

The way I have it now it's on a piece of aluminum angle with a hole drilled the size of the axle and underneath the axle nut.

I'd love to have one of those fancy billet ones but I can't find one without a tailight made into it and they're like $150 also....

I may have to get fancy with the bar end then on the grips, and "trim" it out of the center for it to accept the mirror.

Thanks for the heads up.

Dang,

Thanks,

I hadn't thought of that, and I've been wanting bar ends myself.

How big is the stem that would poke through the bar end cap?

Sounds doable...

Here's some adapter that could probabaly get us there to use the clamp-on style.

The link show the mirrors and the adapters and they sell them in sets also.

Or the Oberons that look like they include a bar-end weight look like they might be big enough diameter to cover up the unfinished end of the Kuryakyn grip if the cap was removed maybe

Here's a distributor in the US for them

Man those are some spendy mirrors!

I found some lesser expensive ones on E-Bay, but they're so much less it makes me a little nervous!

I have an Oberon B.E.M. in black but they make them in silver as well. I like the clean design of it and the way that it mounts.:thumbs up:

http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-bar-end-mirrors/ It looks like they had some issues with it, but I haven't had any issues with mine.

I'm happy!

I got a black set of the cheap ones from ebay. They work very well but they do look kinda cheap. They are also convex so you have to aware that things are much closer then they appear in the mirror. I have mine off right now while I wait for new grips. Will be putting them back on after the grips come in. I was gonna get a set of mario mirrors but just can't afford them right now. If you really want bar ends and don't want to spend alot those definatly work.

Mario's prices have come way down with his new styles.About a 1/4 of what I payed when I bought mine.

I looked at the design of it and the response from Oberon back to that guy was dead on; the tightening of it doesn't involve the aluminum body.

Unless he was talking about the set screw that holds the mirror body into the bar end?:confused2:

$12 For the pro grips and $30 for the mirrors from ebay. Could be nicer but definatly works and goes for the look I want.

opps, pics too big to post, will have to resize them and post

Here are the pics. There are nicer mirrors to be had, but for 30 bucks I am not complaining, and the pro grips work great, I don't have gorrila hands.

i am happy with them except the paint seems to chip off easily. I had them powder coated gloss black, now they are good to go...
