I returned from a ride last night to discover that the rear tire had been rubbing against the drive shaft. The tire needs to be replaced now. And unless I can fix the alignment, the bike will have to be taken to a shop on a trailer.

Could someone please explain (in newbie terms) how to fix the alignment so I can drive the bike to a shop? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In case it matters, this is a 2003 US model.

Picture of the offending tire please. I have had some really wide tires rub and it never hurt the tire (as far as safety).

It looks like maybe something internal isn't put together correctly? It should not be rubbing that hard,

i would agree but i couldn't think of anything that would be doing that. maybe the final drive is all the way to the left. not that it makes that much of a difference tho.
