I changed out my clutch lever for a black one today, and after finishing up, the lever pull feels softer that before. What could I have done to affect clutch pull effort just from changing out levers?:ummm:Thanks

I know the levers can get pretty sloppy where they ride on the retaining pin. This is why Gary offers a bearing mod for it. Maybe your old lever was binding a bit because of this.

pull it back out and check it against the old one just to make sure they are 100% the same

Thanks for the replies. The lever appears exactly the same. I don't have the carbs on so I can't test it, but it feels like maybe air got into the system, but how would that happen just from a lever change? I should probably drain and bleed the fluid anyhow. Tell me more about the bearing mod please.
