New engine preparing

i had a spun rod bearing , crank is for the trush and after Sean told me to look my upper block cause sometime they tend to be destroyed from the crank.... He was right. a machine shop told me it could be fixed but i dont wont my block to be machined. i want it as the factory produce it.
so i am preparing a new engine. i have already my new block, have already new heads with BRAND new valves spring seals, 1st stage flow. all the block and heads are perfectly painted. i was so lucky on finding this cause i took it all about 550 euros from a 60 year old guy 200 km away from where i live. all stuff was sealed and stored perfectly. and i am now the new owner. i am boring the cylinders in 79mm so my je pistons are isntalled still will be 1300cc. i am also installing web cams 2 stage. i will balance all my engine (crank ,rods,pistons, flywheel e.t.c) from an expert dude here in greece which also will bore my engine with last generation cnc machines and he will also make my heads so i will reach 11.5:1 compression with my pistons. took some picks of my blocks and heads. i am also repainting my bike and propably i will make my new gold powdercoated glass covers for my engine.
it will take me sometime but i will make my bike better than ever.

Great news Vmax, I hope you takes some pics along the way of your rebuild. Pics are always intresting on progress one makes during a rebuild, and sometimes someone will spot something you may have missed. Joe
 
One of your pictures showed your shifter drum and it still looked like it had the old pin setup in it.

This would be a good time to fix that weak link. It costs around $50 bucks, but it won't fail on you.

can you give me some details about that. what should i check? i don't have an idea about different drum setup. i also have 2 more complete gear setups. maybe if you tell me where and what to look maybe my other 2 drums is like i should do it. and if you could tell me what is the gain with changing that old pin setup
 
Striped all my bike like never before. monday i am going to have all the frame sandbursted and tuesday is going to my man for making it all chromed. i think in this situation i am i will buy a new wire harness so i make my max perfect.
