So my 93 is purple. Chics dig it. I don't. How common is this color? If it's "rare" I'm going to put silver stripes on it to tie it all together (vinyl probably). Or..... what I want to do: paint it a polished aluminum color w/ a gold tint. Various parts of the bike have a similar color, like the valve covers, wheels, etc. Is this common on Vmax's also?

I had a buddy back in the early 90's who painted his VMAX purple with chrome stripes on the faux looked sharp

The 93's are considered by some to be a shade of purple it looks blue to me.

Like everything else you do to your bike, do what suits your taste best. If you like the current color, keep it, if not paint it. My Max is a silver/blue metallic, I love, wife hates it. Its my bike therefore it stays this color. Now I have been looking at doing an entirely new set of skins something different (actually thought of a deep purple muscle car color or British racing green and black), put on a new USD front end, and interchange whenever I felt like I wanted something different.
