Power at start switch

Hello All.

did anyone here come across a problem of power still at the starter switch while the ignition is turned off, the engine will turn over while switched off :ummm::ummm:

Are you the original owner? Perhaps the previous owner did a little re-wiring?

That or your ignition system has problems. Most likely the starter relay?

It sounds like you have a short between on the red wire between your key switch and the starter relay.

yeah! there has been some wireing to the bike mainly to the rear of the bike also vboost is starting to come and go, is there a short happening somewhere :bang head:
this bike is a 1997 bike and was well looked after with 20000 miles and didnt see much rain.

Also if the battery wasnt giveing (knackerd) out enough amps would that stop the Vboost doing a check when ignition is turned on
