hi,
can anyone tell me if 39mm kehin carbs are worth it .i have stage 7 dyno jet at the moment. how many more hp can keihin achieve?
also where can i get 17" * 5.5" gsxr rear wheel to suit my max.

Worth it as in $$$$ or as in additional performance?

Do you have 2K to spend?

My experience is with PCW's Kehins, their are several other styles on the market.

For a big motor "1400 -1500 cc's" they work great, but on a stock size motor they are over kill. Plus you need to educate yourself on how to tune them, do you like to tune carburetors? Can you do the work yourself? If not stay with the Stage 7.

I have had my Kehin's for 6 years now and like the way they perform. But I run no air cleaners on them, which means every year I take them off the bike and give they a complete cleaning. They tend to have a "bog" if you snap open the throttle. You have to get used to them and how to roll them on. They also do not like to start in the cold weather. Also they are sensitive to elevation and temperature changes, so they may work great in the spring but once it gets hot out, you have to change some of the settings.

As far as Performance over Stage 7, on a stock cc motor you may see a few more HP on the top end. I found that they made more torque in the middle RPM ranges and gave you a sense that the bike pulled harder from 6-9k . My dyno runs showed that too.

I was also using a dyna 3000 ignition on the most advanced setting, nology wires and a custom built "Marks" 4-1 stepped header with a 14" can and a 2.5" baffle.

in performance, 2k is alot for me at the moment but ill find it if its worth it. i own my max for 14 years now and its looking and feeling a bit tired.im looking for an affordable(if possible) way to up the hp. any tips would be gratefull.considering i have a lot of work to do with the rest of the bike.

how much for 1300 conversion?
budget has a vague limit at the mo but not sure whats available till i get all my price enquirys back
still looking for modified gsxr 17" * 6" wheel any idea where i can get one

On the 1300 motor alone (Help me out Morley)... 130 rwhp to 150's? depending on upgrades.... then we just throw a little spray on it... maybe a 60 shot and you could be well into the 200 rwhp..... I'm getting wet
 
as good as all that sounds if i dont win the lottery this weekend it aint gonna happen this year. but you got me thinking!
