Garret, thanks for posting the info. I am going to try a 190 50 17 on my 5.5 inch wide wheel. Think there will be no issues.

Tony

thats what i have on mine with no issues.

they do recommend a 180 for 5.5 rims but it is fine. no idea on the offset of your rim tho for swingarm clearances.

Swingarm has been notched so a 190 will clear. Garrett, do you run an ultra soft?

i run a verge right now but will be trying the advance next (for a 130 front, i have a 3.5" front rim)

With a 5.5 " wide rim , you will have a larger contact patch of rubber to the road with a 180 , = better traction for stopping & turning .

i already have another 190 ready to go but i may try a 180 next. plus it'll be over .5" taller which will help my gearing a little.

Are you running a 190/50/17? Switching from a 190/50/17 to a 180/55/17 will get you a .32" increase in diameter

190/55/17 is .43" taller than a 180/55/17, .75" taller than a 190/50/17.

190/55/17 is .40" shorter than stock 150/90/15

180/55/17 is .83" shorter than stock 150/90/15

190/50. i'd like to find a 190/55 sometime but a 180/55 might have a better contact patch.
