So for the first time in my life Ive ended up with no Medical Insurance for about the past yr and have gotten hert twice that needed surgery's.

When I tried to apply for CMS (county medical service) to cover my services they wanted me to sign a lien of any real property I have or will have in the future. I held off on signing for fear of the unknown of what that entitled. For the second time around with the broken ankle I made an appt. right away after the accident and got an appt for today April 14. When I got in there with my kids in tow they told me:
1. We can not go back and cover you for an August injury.
2. You have your kids full time in the house hold with you then we have to refer you to Medi Cal.
3. Your ankle injury is over 3 months old and we cant start coverage for that either.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????????

Im a hard working American who has been paying local, state and federal taxes for over ten yrs worth of working.

I just know Medi Cal wont cover me for any number of reasons. Ya Im not working now cause of my injury but they look back at your previous wages. They dont take into account my child I was paying. BIG BUCKS that was. All they see is your "gross" earnings. BULLSHIT I say.


It just sucks the first time I need something from my state they pile more road blocks in front of me. Health reform my ass.

If you were ever gonna get free healthcare it should be in California wouldn't it? Aren't their social services extremely "progressive" ????

You can't get free healthcare for shit in Texas unless you are really dark, speak no english, and prove your an alien, in which case they'll treat you like a king.... Even if you have insurance these no garentee my co-pay sucks only after I pay 3,000 dollars only then does my insurance kick in if this is not fucked not sure what is.
In my state they now can get free cell phones with there welfare, food stamps, medicade, ect.. ect..
Just keep paying taxes while everyone else lives of your back its the american way.

First off, I am not racist or a bigot....that being said, I lost my job back in 04, and my insurance along with it. Only work I could find was part time for $9 an hour, so I took it and worked my ass off....but no insurance. My kid needed to see the doctor, so my wife (reluctantly) went down to the welfare office to get insurance for the kids. While there, a well dressed, nails fancy, hair just done black lady with 5 kids and talking on a cell phone was bitching about not getting her "check" in a timely fashion. They told my wife that I made "too much money" and was not eligible for insurance for the kids. My wife lost her cool and screamed " I bet if I was black and had 5 kids and no job, you would give me benefits"!! 2 days later we got an acceptance letter in the mail! I worked hard and paid into the system for 20 years and the one time I needed it, they were gonna turn me down!! The whole experience proved one thing to me: it does not matter what race you are, the way the government has things set up, you are further ahead to NOT work and collect what they give you.... and these bums know it, they have made a living off of doing it, and it gets passed down generation to generation. I did find a very good full time job 3 months after this incident, but the whole thing still chaps my ass to this day!

So, if we can get EVERYONE to claim 8 dependants this year, and not file taxes at the end of the year, what would that do? They only have so much prison space. Little update on what Ive got going on the of the surgery's. I went back to Kaiser (hospital that did my last surgery) and showed them my taxs and that I didnt make much last yr. Got to see the sweetest lady to help me fill out the paper. She said I should totally qualify for there private program thing to cover me. HELL YA.

Its sad when I have to rely on a private Medial group to take care of me when Ive been paying Medi Cal taxs for so long.
So this is REAL GOOD. Such a load off, well almost off.
