Hi,

I would like to know if there is a bike like an R1 or something that you can use the throttle tube from.
I would like to get a new throttle tube, and am using cheap aftermarket grips, so it doesn't need to have the ridge for the chrome trim on it.

Any idea's?

Not that I have seen though I am sure other Yamaha models might work. I am sure the venture but many other bikes only have a pull cable and not the push pull. There are aftermaket tubes but they usually fit different cable types. The chrome ride thing is easily eliminated.

I'm sure the controls from the FZR of the early '90s will fit (probably the FJR too)

I have one at home I bought to canabalise for the switch contacts, I'll take a look later

PS: here's the pic from the eBay listing I won

The sleeve is identical except for the length, about 10mm shorter

I just went through this...gotta look for used grips on ebay and get the sleeve out or one guy had a switch box with the grip still attached for cheap..was gonna get it but now I don't need it.

Thanks guys.

I ordered an R6 one off ebay. I'll let you know once it gets here!
The pic looks the same....
It was only nine of your American peso's anyway. ;-)

R1/R6 one is about 10mm shorter. Otherwise it looks the same.
