Hi everyone, and thanks for the help... I just got back from Iraq, and have a 2001 vmax... It has 19k on it and starts fine, my brother has been useing it and I noticed a ticking sound on the right side of motor sounds like a valve, but louder... The sound is their when clutch is pulled in. The only time it goes away is when it is higher than 2k rpm... I have read threead's and I'm confused... Sounds like a valve, but I have used a scope and sounds lower on the right side of motor... sorry for asking a stupid question but I wont ride her like that as I dont want another bomb going up in my lap!!!.
