Is it considered 1/8 or 3/8 th's ? What tread # ? TIA...

Its metric. Can't remember what size. You can run a pipe tap in there if your looking to hook up an aftermarket gauge.

The aftermarket gauge we used worked just fine with the stock sender and the replacement sender fit right into place too. I believe it's 1/8" NPT.
