Finally got to take a proper ride on the Vmax this past Monday. Oh how I wanted to just keep going and going and going west until I hit mountains…RESPONSIBILITIES SUCK!!!!

Took my front tire/wheel to the shop for a new one, of course they did not have the size and had to order it so I have it hanging in the middle of my garage. I’m jonesen for a ride! I’m Addicted to riding my Vmax.

HEY I'm gettig back the crank and rods from the machine shop in colorado springs. OH BOY, now for the bearings ,while waiting for the cylinders to be sized. Happy trails to you all.

I used PPG basecoat clear coat and used my small HVLP spray gun to shoot it.

We picked up what we thought was a zx6r for beth and when I finally got around to working on it found out it's a ZX9R!! Bonus!! But it's bare right now and was a repo. I got it together and running enough to put it on the dyno this weekend.

Ordered some brake parts and picked up the cylinders , and a rebushed first gear. got some work to do, and a pencil to sharpen, lol. cheers

I pulled her out of the garage and noticed something sticking out of the side right where the drive shaft goes into the transmission. I realized it is the spring “clamp” that goes around the dust cover boot. Anyone have any ideas to get it back on? There is absolutely no room to get a hand in there to push it down and wrap it around so it can hook the two ends together.
