Why are my carb covers different?

I took my carb covers off and sent them for chrome, didn't pay much attention. When I got them back and was putting them on and noticed that three are the same and one is different. See pics, on one the spring capture is different and bottom is not clipped for pilot screw clearance.
Bike is an '06. I'm second owner bought from a dealer, had 3700 miles when I bought it.

The one on the right in the 1st picture is what I had on my '89. Sometime, Yamaha changed the spring seat on the covers. My '99 has the late model version.

Henrysgmc asked me that same question some time back ago. I checked with Sean and he knew of no fundamental difference and they are interchangeable.

Seen both kinds but not on the same bike, that I can recall. Chances are a PO bunged one up and ended up replacing with the mismatch, doesn't matter either style works fine.
