So I'm trying to replace parts on my 2006 Vmax after laying her down and I priced the faux tank with the red tribal flames. I think my heart skipped a beat when they told me $863! Has anyone else priced this and gotten similar prices?

I checked with Sean a couple weeks ago and he didn't have the tank with the tribal flames. I know I can save alot of money going with solid black but I really wanted to go back with the original paint scheme.

As you probably noticed, the faux tank has had an emblemectomy. While taking pictures, I wasn't tickled to have found a couple spots on the side of the cover; close to the front. As you would see from the previous pictures, you'll have to look for it. Here they are, I tweaked the exposure setting on the camera to get it to show up better;

An "L" shape, approximately 1.5cm x 1cm;

And about 1" to the right there is a small nick (has been filled w/black paint) about 1 to 1.5mm long and less than .5mm wide. (if you look at the picture above this one, you'll be able to see it in the reflection of the light that appears to be below the other).
