All that remains of the stock bike is literally the frame, motor and swing arm.......that's it...everything else is gone.....fake scoops...air box cover...the lot..
Its now sitting on 04 r1 forks in 70mm slab yokes with a billet 17x3.5" wheel.
There's a matching 17x6" on it's way for the rear.
The air box cover started life as an EX650 tank...slightly modified lol.
There will be a new tank that extends into the seat unit....increasing capacity from 15 to 20ish litres.....plus a new subframe......the list goes on......gonna be fun to do....

The yokes are 70mm thick so hopefully they've added enough length....I want the slammed low look on this bike..
I'll be checking the max compression/clearance to the rad soon...I plan to use a custom radiator anyway.
You can modify the internals to allow more of the chrome slider out of the upper leg. I have a link for it somewhere from another forum. I'll track it down and add it here.

On the stock yoke the legs sit flush with the top of the yoke...on mine the top of the legs are 60mm below that point.

Anyway...not gonna argue about it...if I need to extended them I will but not until I have looked at all options.

Sure mate. Im just saying based on my experience with that exact thing. Im not pointing fingers just sharing my thoughts. You can do whatever you want with them... Sorry for the thread hi-jack...

Hey Mr Wildweasel......just seen you've removed your posts about the front end....how come ?
We were only discussing it.......
I am going to extend my forks and was hoping to ask you about it.
Anyway...here's a pic.......

I really appreciate these kind of Vmax-projects !

Intensive BIG time customizing, I'll be following this threat :clapping:

Following the creation of the loooow seat height I decided I needed some decent bars.Keen to make sure it didn't look to 'harley' the girlfriend and I, over a few bourbons, came up with this idea....

Isn't that a wood circle saw? I might be wrong but that looks like a bench saw for wood not for a 2 inch thick of billet...
