I have heard to stay away from pure synthetic engine oils for the V-Max. I own a 2004. I bought some synthetic blend Golden Spectro 4 engine oil. Are blends fine for this engine? Also, anything else I should be aware of as I change it? Does it matter if it was regular petro oil and now...

Bone stock 2006 and my bike has ALWAYS run rich at idle.....when I pull up to a stop light, the thing stinks like unburnt fuel---I have asked people who ride behind me if they smell anything when we are at speed, and they say no, but who knows if the airflow might be pulling the smell out away...

The manual states to use V rated tires on this bike. I don't plan on riding at sustained speeds of 130+, but I am curious about your opinions as to whether or not an H rated tire will hold up... I would think tire ratings would be conservative, but what do you guys think?
