I have a black box with a number of TID14-95 3UF-11. Is this a vmax box? If so what year is it from? Is it the same as other numbers?

Jim

Looked at a pic of one I have in the computer and it shows the TID14 but -93 so not 100% sure it's the same.
Sean

Well I put a TID14-93 3JP00 in to replace the other and it has cured most of my engine woes. Here in Thailand they tend to put whatever they can get ahold of to put a bike together. They come in in pieces to avoid tariffs I believe.
I will have to post pics of the starter clutch they had adapted to fit.

Maybe try to get DYNA 3000?
Cheaper then stock TCI.

Oh yeah, im very very very familiar with custom duties and taxes LOL :rofl_200:
Not much better here, bealive me.

That may be also an improvment. I saw some people fighting with
adapting starter clutch from modern sport bikes like GSXR etc.
I dunno about the reslults they get.

You be the judge :)

I will have to post pictures of the clutch. It was not strong enough and actually split the part that carries the springs and rollers. So not much of an upgrade.
I bought the box for $30 with a wire harness off ebay.
As far as taxes, on a car it totals up to about 300% on top of the price they say the car is worth here in country. In other words if a customs guy wants your car they say it is worth so huge figure and then you can pay the duty or forfit the car. Then the customs guy gets the car.

Hmm as for the clutch failure its happens somethimes in vmax'es.

My local duties takes EU prices when they charging customs fees and taxes so in many cases it can be also 200-300% including 22% of tax and 7% of customs fees.
They dont give a damm that you actually paid 4 times less for vehicle in USA.
They wiil even add cost of shipment to total vehicle valuve :bang head: which is about 800$ for motocycle fraight.

Luckily Poland is obligated to restrict EU terms so they cant take you vehicle
but they can keep it forever and you must pay big cash for evry day of ther parking...

Of course you can go trough court trial and take you own specialist to set real value of vehicle and you have 99% of chances for win but waitig about a year and even more without you bike? Nahh...its ends that you paying exactly that much as they wanted...

So thats why my friend diassembled my bike into pieces so basicly only engine, frame, wheels and sunspension left.
He boxed the parts and ship it via sea fraight.

Bikes goes to customs as wrecked, damaged and with no keys wth valuve about 800$ and no one have doubts about that as it was looks like wreck.

Yeh it was fraud but i dont give a shit and they can kiss my ass.

So we both cant say that we are living in paradise, huh? :rofl_200:

I really like shipping to USA. Tracking looks like this:

-01.01.2009 12:00AM International arraival Chicago
-01.01.2009 12:10AM Inbound into customs
-01.01.2009 12:15AM Inbound out of customs...

I will dead when that route starts to be used in PL...

And yeah yeah, again :hijacked::hijacked::hijacked:
