I suspect that one of my carbs are leaking into one of my cylinder when it sits

Symtoms
1.when i pull the plug in one cylinder its wet even after sitting a day
2.my gas millage is poor only getting about 85-90 miles before light comes on
3. the fuel pump pumps really long after just sitting a few minutes between start up like when getting gas.

OTHER FACTS
1. The floats are set to 17 wet, even in the suspected cylinder
2. The compression in all cylinders is within 5 pounds around 160psi (my gauge is always low)
3. Plugs read on the lean side a light grey

So is this possible, can a carb leak into cylinder even if the float is adjusted right?

Well the thing that prevents the float bowel from over filling the the valve seat needle. Its is also possible that your float is bad and isn't floating so to say. So I would check the valve seat/needle on that carb and make sure your float floats.

I had one cylinder doing this same thing on my 89. There was some trash that was getting into the carb from God Knows Where. Tiny Black Particles.. I drained the float bowel several times over a weeks period. Now, No More Problemo.. Drain comes up clean...Left Front Cylinder on Mine...#2
