i will try n get to the point asap. I have an 85 max. Put up with lots of abuse over the years and the engine finally blew up. A while back i bought a donar bike vmax for parts. It had a set of supertrapps dual exhaiust on it. i love how it sounds(sounds like a beast chevy 350) but my question is do i need to rejet my stock carbs for the supertrapps. Like i said the donar bike engine was blown(it had the supertrapps on it) my engine just blew it also had the supertrapps on it. Is this a cowinceedence?? I finally saved up got a new engine. Do not want it to blow it up.

What do you guys think? Should i have someone from yamaha rejet it, or just run it as is and keep checking the plugs?

Slip-ons I'd say you'll want to lean it up to 147.5's if you're around sea level to 700 ft. If it's a full system I'd leave it stock.

It's a coincidence IMO. Many run the slip-ons.
