I’m just finishing replacing the seal and I’m confused about the right fork oil quantity.
- Mosley’s video says 4.8 inches from top,
- another YouTube video says 5.5 inches, and
- on the Service book it says 451ml (this quantity gots me at 11” from top).

Before I close it up, anyone could give me a feedback about it.

Thanks!

I followed Morleys youtube video to a tee, 5.5", but I used Progressive springs, which are beefier than OEM and displace a little more fluid as they slide into the tubes. Sorry I cant be definitive on level with OEM springs if thats what you have. Hope it helps.

Thanks!

I agree with you about his video. What bothers me is the huge difference compared to the service book.

Let’s see if someone gives me more details.

Otherwise I will go with 4.8” as he suggested.

I use 123mm with the fork fully compressed and no spring/spacer installed. Then pull up the fork tube from the lower, drop in the spring/spacer, and put the cap on.
