I had my fork seals done "professionally" last season and had the forks polished, now the left seal is leaking and I'll never go back to that shop because the owner is an ass. So, which seals would you fine gentleman recommend I use when I do it myself?

OEM is the only ones I can recommend. The aftermarket ones are cheap made and the rubber compound is of poor quality, IMO. Contact Sean Morley and he will ship them out, he may not be the cheapest but you will get OEM.

Got mine from Boats.net also.. So far, working fine.

Sean Morley's video of course. Trying to follow the manual is not very informative.
Being on an extremely tight budget, I have to do damn near all the work myself, learning as I go..

DMAN, is that the correct part number for the '93 forks? And scuff, that's a pretty nifty tool, I might have to get one of those just for scientific reasons.

^ Yes it is.
The 93 has 43 mm forks like my 2000 and they use the same fork oil seal.
The original part # for the '93 is 3GM-23145-00-00 but they were discontinued and replaced by part # 4PU-23145-01-00.

Sweet. Anyone have the link to Sean's fork video? (I almost put "Sean's forking video" but that sounded dirty)

You're in luck, seems this one must be shrinkable also for the earlier models too, it's universal.... Boat.net says"

That's why you need to use common sense.
We know the forks changed from 40mm to 43mm in 1993.
And the part number I gave him is the correct part # for his 1993 Vmax.

I liked to buy my vmax parts from sean because different year bikes have different parts and sean knows whats what when it comes to vmax parts. Its just a safer bet to get the right parts when you buy from sean.

I know that and you know that, but Boats.net apparently does not. A new to Vmax guy would have problems ordering from them without your help is all I'm really saying here.

That's true, new guys would probably get confused by their incorrect info.
And you and Mike are right, Sean will definitely send the correct part, so there's no reason to worry if the parts are ordered from him.
