Found 2 unplugged wires

I found these this morning behind the plastic guard next to the key ignition.

The one on the left is a black and red wire and the one to the right is just red. I don't know where they plug into or if they are necessary. The bike runs like a top without them on but anyone know what they're for?

I wouldn't sweat it. Lots of unused wires on "Skyshot". I'd soak 'em in Sea foam overnight, then clip them off flush the next morning. You should be good to go then.

No that doesn't look like factory. Maybe to manual fan switch. Is that a pop rivet in the plastic cover near the key switch?

Best way to know for sure is to try to follow the wires to see where they go to.

my money is on "used to be for a fan switch" ;]

yeah fan override seems to be it. Just check where it goes, if it's the fan switch that will be easy to see if it goes to the temperature sender unit.

I would check if there's 12V present between those two wires, both with ignition on or off.

If so, I would bet these are 'accessory wires', added by someone to be able to feed such accessories as heated grips, satnav, stereo or phone charger.
