Hi all you '85 owners,
I'm wondering if you all could check this small thing for me. I read everywhere that when you start the bike, the fuel and oil light should come on and go off again. Well on my bike only the oil light seems to do that. I've been reading and troubleshooting like crazy but cannot fix this issue so i'm starting to believe the fuel light does NOT come on on a '85 bike! I changed fuel relay, fuel sender and fuel pump. I checked the switch, checked for voltage on the sender, checked all wiring and can't find anything wrong! The fuel bulb works when i put a jumper on the connector coming from the sender unit.
So please check this on your '85 vmax please :bang head: :ummm: :confused2:
