highly doubt it. would at least need a notched arm too.

Welcome to the forum! Switching wheels between them is a good question. I wonder how much a set of gen2 wheels would cost?

Hell I would spend $240:biglaugh: for a rear in a second.
I need to just take my tape measure to the Yamaha store and see what size the swing arm is. I mean if they are close I think you could put Gen2 wheels on a Gen 1. :bang head:
I sure as hell do not want to waste any more money on Bias Plys if all i need to do is fork out $240 for a Gen 2 rear:ummm:.
From what I have read your only other way to run Radials is to spend 1200-2500 bucks on a set of custom wheels or have http://www.kosmanspecialties.com/toc.htm bolt a stock Gen1 center on another wheel.

I suspect that the easy bit will be getting the tyre to clear the swinging arm.

You also need to see how the splines between the final drive and wheel match up.

Probably not insurmountable but your $240 wheel has become a heck of a lot more expensive!
