Handlebar - Chrome sleeve removal

I got the grips off okay but how do you remove that stock ring? I don't see any set screws and used brake cleaner to remove all the adhesive but it still won't budge. I tried light taps with a rubber malet and do not want to break these.

you mean the thing that goes against the switch housing? they should be attached to the grips.. at least mine were otherwise just floating there.

Nevermind, got it. The rubber piece separated from the inner ring and eventually got those off using brake cleaner.

It's a '94 body kit he bought off Ebay. He sold his carbon skins.
