Correct Johnp.
I have cut out the oval intake area of the stock/K&N filter.
I have trimmed minimal bits of the top of the box to leave the filter mounts in position.
The 2 holes in the Scott base plate will be machined into one oval, tapered down to fit the intake of the K&N.
It won't be a 'ram air' system (fine mesh vent going in airbox) It's just a cold air intake feature as I am picking a few style points from the Interceptor.
I have used the cold air intake on my FJ/XJR's in the past with no ill effects.
Is there a huge difference between the flat filter from Sean and the K&N ?
If so I'd obviously go that way...
Looking at the pics do you think it would still fit albeit with some modification ? I can open up the top of the airbox to the full size of the scott base thus increasing the intake area.
