Hi all:

Hope you're all doing okay.

I've got a question: I'm rebuilding my crankcase breather housing, and I've seen mentioned in the forum the use of "Yamabond". I checked Yamaha's site, and there are about a dozen different varieties of Yamabond.

So, do any of you know which Yamabond variety would be best to use in the rebuild of the crankcase breather housing?

Thanks very much!

You want the gray stringy kind. For some reason I think it's number 4. It won't take much. Are you talking about the PCV? The submarine-looking thing between the cylinders?

Or I'm totally wrong.

To do that job be aware there are several normal o-rings for the internal oil pipes, some crush washers for the external oil tube fittings, as well as the "shaped" o-ring between the halves of the breather assembly, if I remember right there may also be a paper gasket between the bottom half of the breather and the engine case.

You probably already knew that but just trying to help.
Yamabond 4 is what I used.
