I had the rear brake stay bar off. The one that goes from the swingarm to the rear caliper bracket. Out of curiosity, how tight do you guys tighten those bolts to? I would imagine they are supposed to pivot pretty easily. Any ideas?

there is no reason for them to pivot. good'n' tight is good.

Thinking about it now it does make sense that those points would NOT need to pivot....thank you for clearing that up!

Being that the brake stay is attached to the swingarm, the caliper bracket does not move when the shocks are compressed. There is no need for it to pivot because all the parts are bolted to the swingarm. If the brake stay bar were attached to the frame, that would be a different story.
